Knitting Scarves for the Homeless: support our youth ministry project and knit a scarf for the homeless. Each time you pick up your knitting, take a moment to say this prayer to St. Anthony Mary Claret, the patron saint of weavers.
Lord Jesus Christ,as you humbled yourself to serve us,
we thank you for the opportunity to serve others
with the gifts you have given us.
Please continue to bless us
that we may be inspired by your loving example,
through the intercession of St. Anthony Mary Claret, patron of weavers,
to work patiently and diligently,to create a scarf
that will warm the body and soul of someone in need.

Youth Mini stry Changes
We are very sad to announce that Rachel Nazareth, our Youth Minister, will be leaving the parish after World Youth Day in August to begin a new career in teaching. We are grateful for the more than two years that Rachel has been with us and building the ministry to our young parishioner. The parish has hired Jonathan Nix as our new youth minister on an initial 6 month contract. Some parishioners may remember Jonathan as the former candidate for the Franciscan community who was living at the friary during the "Caring for our Future Campaign". Jonathan was the one who personally telephoned over 500 parishioners to invite them to information sessions. His warm, youthful and engaging personality won the hearts of many of us, including our youth. Rachel and Jonathan have been working together this summer to ensure a smooth transition for this important ministry.
